Phenomena needs to go

Siddhananda: Here you go, a little square (showing a small white square stone). Looks like a little package of something good. We'll see. (smiling).

G: Yes. (smiling).

Siddhananda: Okay. (pause). So, i see this little rock in my mind again, which is what seems to be happening today (referring to the same thing happening with the previous rocks). There's a nice light, and instantly there's a crackly fire, and the fire is turning into a rose. It's got some energy coming off of it, just lit up, burning, rose.

G: hmm hmm.

Siddhananda: Very nice, actually. Wow, i don't think i've seen any that is that clear, i can feel the heat of it even!

G: Feel the what?

Siddhananda: The heat of that fire rose.

G: Oh, of the fire rose. Okay.

Siddhananda: It's a fire rose with energy or smoke coming off of it. (pause). i am hearing "the phenomena needs to go. The attachment to phenomena needs to go."

G: Right. That's why we don't have anybody doing the third-eye stuff because that's the way they develop a lot of phenomena that doesn't need to be there. That's why we don't give those practices.

Siddhananda: Yeah, sure, because oh boy, that can go on for a [long time].

G: Exactly, because you can get attached to the phenomena and all the third eye stuff. We had that one sadhu that wrote a book [where] all he talks about is the phenomena, and people are so gravitating to that. But, that's not it.

Siddhananda: Right.

G: All these realms and all these different things, you don't need to go there. You don't need to go into all these realms, you can go straight into the heart of being and find that ultimate truth.

Siddhananda: Exactly. (pause). So, what i see is that rose being burnt to ashes as a way of saying it is beautiful indeed, but, that phenomena needs to go. There's the sun, there's the light and there's the ground.

G: Right.

Siddhananda: That's grounding, and the other is un-grounding like you talk about where people get attached to all the phenomena and realms and that just can make you un-grounded. Get really out of it.

G: Right. You could be wandering for lifetimes and lifetimes and lifetimes. You would never get to the goal, because the mind can create phenomena.

Siddhananda: (pause). That's it. i do see an image of a ghost that they're reflecting, as if [to say] that's ghosty, like a phantom mist. That's not what you want to be gravitating to.

G: Right, that's not it. It's an illusion.

Siddhananda: Yeah.

G: It's not reality. But, you can create as much illusion as you want. It's just another movie.

Siddhananda: Right, and the mind is very creative.

G: Yeah.

Siddhananda: i do see the ground being reflected as that's the non-dual, that's what remains, that's the strength, the core and the balance.

G: Right.

Siddhananda: All comes from that. You want to go to the origin of the whole thing.

G: Exactly. And after that if you want to enjoy the play then enjoy the play. Then it becomes the liberated play. Once that mask is off, then you see it for what it is.

Siddhananda: Right, and then it is a whole another thing entirely.

G: Exactly. Then it becomes a play. It doesn't become another phenomena. (laughing).

Siddhananda: Exactly. (smiling). Like look at me, look at what i can see and do and how neat this is, because it's not a game. You can play the phenomena if you want, you can play it how you want, but it is really some where else, away from the Truth.

G: Yes. Yes.

Siddhananda: So, we're going to say good by to that one.
